Developing Your Eye, Day 3: Water

Desert Water
Desert Water

Since it’s the weekend and I know I’ll probably be too busy to post, I’m doing so tonight (even though I posted earlier today, too).

Today’s theme is “Water.”  A tricky proposition here in the desert.  If I had a pool then I’d be golden.  But I don’t.  And I don’t have a bird bath.  Or lawn sprinklers.  Or a lake nearby.  Basically, the only water I have access to comes out of a faucet.

Or a bottle.

And since I own ONE camera lens (a lovely Canon 55-250mm), I can’t take close ups of anything.  That rules out trying to be all artistic with a water droplet.

And I can’t get far enough away from my bathroom sink to take a clear picture.

And my kitchen sink is full of dishes…funny how I’m the only one in the house who can see them.  But that’s for another post.

So what’s a girl to do when she needs to make a photograph of water, but doesn’t have a good source and has even less access to the energy needed to venture out of her house on a Friday evening?

She snaps a few shots of her outdoor water spigot!

(I realize the photo is a bit out of focus, but hey!…at least you can see the water, right??)
